WLAEF 117

Chapter 117

Lin Ting An's acquisition plan had completely failed. His desire to develop maritime trade had stalled.

However, Jiang Yun Zhu trio’s side went smoothly. Everything proceeded in an orderly manner.

One day, Xiao Li Yu went out with Lin Ting An. On the way back, she found a note in the carriage. When she opened it, her expression changed. There were only seven words on the note, "Shen Feng Ming fancy Jiang Yun Zhu."

"Stop!" Xiao Li Yu delicately hollered.

The carriage stopped immediately.

Xiao Li Yu lifted the curtain of the carriage, and asked everyone with a pale face, "Who had entered my carriage?"

All the guards and the coachman shook their heads. They had never entered, nor had they seen anyone entering Xiao Li Yu's carriage.

"A bunch of trash." Xiao Li Yu cursed and put down the curtain of the carriage. She looked at the note again, startled and angry.

Was what the note said true? Shen Feng Ming had someone he likes? Judging by the name, it turned out to be a woman?

Impossible, she didn't believe it. She would rather believe that Shen Feng Ming liked men, or he was incapable. Otherwise why would he always speak coldly to her.

But she couldn't help but think. What if it was true? Thinking of this, she felt that her vision darkened and her heart was full of anger. It was mixed with various emotions, going up and down and almost driving her crazy.

Who was Jiang Yun Zhu? Also, who put this note in her carriage? She was sure, when she went out today, the note wasn't in the carriage.

She didn't care about the latter. What she wanted to know if what was written on this note was true!

"Come here." She called.

Someone stepped forward immediately.

Xiao Li Yu gave orders.

At this time, Jiang Yun Zhu was looking forward to the person she had been waiting for.

"Old Mister, you seem to be much more energetic." Jiang Yun Zhu saw old Mister Wu’s arrival and immediately greeted old Mister Wu with a grin.

"What energetic? It's because I couldn't eat the meals you cook, I lost weight." old Mister Wu snorted.

"Then don't leave this time." Jiang Yun Zhu replied.

Old Mister Wu was a little moved, but in the end he shook his head. If he stayed with her, he would cause her to get into all kinds of trouble.

"I came as soon as I received your letter. I didn't bring anything. Here, I kept this for you as jelly beans." old Mister Wu changed the subject and handed Jiang Yun Zhu a bottle.

"What?" Jiang Yun Zhu took the bottle and opened it. A strange medicinal fragrance wafted out immediately. After taking a sniff, she felt refreshed.

"I went to Huashan this time and was lucky. I came across a plant of Jiuquling ginseng and made a bottle of medicine. It doesn't have much effect. If taken when you’re about to die, you can live for at least three more days." old Mister Wu casually explained.

This didn’t have much effect? This was clearly a life-saving miracle medicine! Jiang Yun Zhu was dumbfounded and stared at old Mister Wu. He wanted to give her such valuable medicine? And told her to eat it as a jelly bean...

When old Mister Wu saw her surprised look, his eyes flashed with pride.

Jiang Yun Zhu smiled. Old child like a little child, this was absolutely true. Old Mister Wu was quite arrogant.

"Thank you, old Mister. Since old Mister gave it to me, I accept it." She replied.

"That’s how it should be." Old Mister Wu said.

Jiang Yun Zhu invited the old Mister in. The old mister took in her newly opened restaurant. The more he looked at it, the more he liked it.

Afterward, the two chatted about what happened during these days apart.

Old Mister Wu's experience was like a legend. He went to Huashan this time. Then he went to Changbai Mountain and encountered many interesting things.

Compared with him, Jiang Yun Zhu's experience wasn't bad. In over half a year, she opened a restaurant in the capital and gained a firm foothold. She even got into sea trade.

Hearing this, old Mister Wu became interested. He was pondering where to go next. How about going overseas for fun?

Maybe he could meet a merman. Legend had it that merman meat could be used as medicine. It was possible to encounter a big pearl. At that time, he would give Jiang Yun Zhu a bottle of nourishing pills.

"Old Mister wants to go to sea with our fleet?" Jiang Yun Zhu was surprised.

"What? Can't? Don't look at my age. I don't have any health problems!" Old Mister Wu stated.

Jiang Yun Zhu was indeed a little worried that he wouldn't be able to withstand the wind and waves at sea. But considering that he had been to so many famous mountains and rivers, it shouldn't be a problem.

"I couldn’t be any happier! The fleet is at sea. If there is someone with such superb medical skills as you, everyone wouldn’t be afraid of getting sick." Jiang Yun Zhu said sincerely. This was true. Various things may happen at sea. With old Mister Wu accompanying, everyone's lives would have an extra layer of protection. It was something no one else could ask for.

The old mister nodded. Alright then, after this matter was over, he would go overseas to have a look.

Speaking of the matter, Jiang Yun Zhu said, "Old Mister, you probably read the letter I wrote. I am more worried about the health of the Empress Dowager."

The old man became serious. He had seen the empress dowager's body last year. She had a very complicated illness. With his medical skills, he couldn’t cure her completely. He could only slow down her condition.

The last time Jiang Yun Zhu went to the palace to see the empress dowager, she felt more and more that she had Alzheimer's disease. There was no effective treatment for this in the modern age of advanced medicine. Old Mister Wu being able to slow down the empress dowager's disease was already very powerful.

But what she was talking about wasn’t this. She was worried that the Empress Dowager would die at the end of July in her dream. It was already mid-July.

She discussed this matter with old Mister Wu. Her intention was to find a chance to get old Mister Wu take a look at the Empress Dowager. If her health was normal, then something else might have happened. She could only remind Shen Feng Ming to keep a close eye.

Since old Mister Wu was here, there was no problem. He wondered why Jiang Yun Zhu cared so much about the Empress Dowager.

At this time, Shen Feng Ming came in with Yang Cheng. When he saw Shen Feng Ming, he seemed to understand something and was annoyed.

He regarded Jiang Yun Zhu as his granddaughter. Seeing that she was about to be abducted by Shen Feng Ming, how could he not be annoyed.

Shen Feng Ming was the same as usual. In other words, he didn't care what old Mister Wu thinks. He only had Jiang Yun Zhu in his eyes.

Jiang Yun Zhu wanted them to get along well. She got them all to sit down. Today, she personally cooked and cooked some delicious food to welcome old Mister Wu.

Although Shen Feng Ming and Yang Sheng often came to the restaurant, they usually came very late and rarely ate dishes cooked by Jiang Yun Zhu.

Hearing that Jiang Yun Zhu was going to personally cook today, Yang Sheng immediately became delighted.

Jiang Yun Zhu got up and went to the kitchen. Only Shen Feng Ming trio were left in the room.

Shen Feng Ming sat there. His mind wasn't here at all. Instead, he was looking toward the direction of the kitchen.

Yang Sheng wanted to chat with old Mister Wu, but old Mister Wu turned his head to the side. Yang Sheng could only sit back in his seat resentfully.

When Jiang Yun Zhu entered the room again. The room was so quiet that it was a bit weird.

As if he had received an amnesty, Yang Sheng immediately got up and helped Jiang Yun Zhu carry a bowl of food.

The atmosphere in the room seemed to change immediately with Jiang Yun Zhu's arrival.

Jiang Yun Zhu first served a bowl of soup to each of the three people, "Flower Mushroom and Egg Soup."

There was light yellow clear soup in a thin white porcelain cup the size of a tea bowl. In the clear soup was a fat mushroom. Next to it was a whole peeled egg. And next to that was a tender green flowering cabbage.

The white eggs, the flower mushrooms with beautiful patterns, and the green flowering cabbage. This dish looked pretty good, but it was too simple. It seemed to be a peeled boiled egg and stewed mushroom?

Shen Feng Ming glanced at the four people’s boiled eggs in the porcelain cup. Soon he noticed the difference in the egg. The egg seemed to have no yolk. With ordinary boiled eggs, one could always see the yolk inside from an angle through the white after peeling the shell. But the four eggs had no yolk no matter which angle one looked at it from.

Yang Sheng also discovered this, "Miss Jiang, you specially picked ones with egg yolk hidden in the middle of the egg white?"

That’s why they couldn't see the egg yolk. However, how did Jiang Yun Zhu do it? Or she picked a lot of eggs to pick these four.

"Everyone will know after tasting it." Jiang Yun Zhu decided to be secretive. In fact, she made this dish specially for old Mister Wu. He liked such interesting things.

Sure enough, old Mister Wu was so excited that he grabbed a spoon and directly cut into the egg.

The egg was very tender. After being cut open, the middle was egg white.

"No egg yolk?" old Mister Wu asked.

Others cut the eggs in their bowls from different angles. None of them had yolks.

"This isn't an egg, is it?" Yang Sheng remarked. He had seen a lot of vegetarian dishes. There were those that looked like meat dishes and were so realistic. But when he ate them, he knew they were vegetarian dishes.

With that said, he put the egg in the spoon into his mouth.

In an instant, he showed surprise. He was pretty sure it was the egg. It's deliciously made.

"Really eggs?" old Mister Wu ate and immediately asked Jiang Yun Zhu.

"Of course, it’s eggs." Jiang Yun Zhu said.

"Then why is there no egg yolk? Could it be that there are eggs without yolks in this world? What kind of chicken lays these eggs? Take me to have a look." old Mister Wu said excitedly.

Jiang Yun Zhu smiled, "Old Mister, there is no such chicken in this world."

"Then why don't your eggs have yolks?" old Mister Wu asked anxiously.

Jiang Yun Zhu explained the recipe of this dish. Break open an egg, pour out the white first, and then pour out the yolk.

The egg yolk wasn't used. Put the egg white into a bowl, add the chicken broth, and stir carefully. Be careful. Don't stir vigorously, otherwise the dish would fail if there were bubbles.

Then pour the egg white back into the egg shell, cover it with a vegetable leaf, and steam it in a steamer.

It must be steamed slowly over low heat so that the egg whites were heated evenly and wouldn’t explode.

After steaming, take out the egg and peel off the shell. Now there was an egg without a yolk.

This dish was to make everyone amused.

Of course, the eggs were delicious too.

"So that's how it is." old Mister Wu laughed. This dish was interesting. What was even more commendable was Jiang Yun Zhu's thoughts for him.

Yang Sheng grinned.

There seemed to be a smile in Shen Feng Ming's eyes.

The atmosphere instantly became relaxed and happy.

After dinner, Jiang Yun Zhu discussed with Shen Feng Ming about getting old Mister Wu to diagnose the empress dowager's pulse.

Shen Feng Ming knew that she did this for him. His heart was moved.

The next day, Shen Feng Ming brought old Mister Wu into the palace.

Jiang Yun Zhu could not go. But she was worried about old Mister Wu. She decided to follow him to have a look. She didn't follow into the Empress Dowager's bedroom, but waited for news outside. No one paid attention to her!

When she was about to leave, she stood up and the small bottle on the table suddenly caught her eyes. It was the medicine given to her by old Mister Wu yesterday. It could be called life-saving.

After a pause, she put the medicine into her sleeve, she went out of the house, and joined Shen Feng Ming and old Mister Wu.

The three of them entered the palace.

Shen Feng Ming had already made arrangements. When he reached the gate of the palace, he paused for a while before continuing to walk into the Empress Dowager's bedroom.
