BTTS 609

 Chapter 609. Want to divorce

Old Chen Family was more than happy to help. After all, son-in-law's family wasn't in the capital. So they must help.

Especially since house was connected to their daughter, Chen Shan Shan's future life.

So when Hu Zi came over to ask them to help be on the look out, his redundant mother-in-law Li Yu Feng promised him: "Don't worry. Aunt will complete this mission. I will definitely find a good one for you and Shan Shan. Won't have any of those annoying neighbors."

Then, together with her mother-in-law, Old Madam Xu, she helped to inquire around.

Have to say, these old ladies have a lot of capability. Within a few days of inquiring, they found a place. Although it was a bit far away from here, it wasn't too far away. It was about twenty minutes away from this community.

"Their family made a fortune and disliked their place for being small. So they moved to a bigger place to live there and planned to sell this one. Auntie went to check it for you. It's still spacious. Enough for you and Shan Shan after you get married. Now it isn't like before. There's family planning.” Li Yu Feng told Hu Zi as they went over to see.

Then she asked Hu Zi: "Did your aunt's youngest girl get household registration? How much did she pay for over-birth?"

"I don't know. Still, it's not cheap." Hu Zi replied.

The little miss Mi Mi had already got registered on their household registration. On the third day after they came back, she asked Weng Guo Dong to help out with it. The fine for over-birth couldn't be omitted.

Hu Zi didn't know the specific. His uncle and aunt didn't say anything. His uncle did mention that it almost equal to the house. With this, one can tell not just any one can over-birth.

"You guys don't over-birth. Now this is a new society. Having a son or daughter is the same. The main thing is education. With good education, daughter can also be talented. If the education isn't done well, a son will be asking for debts." Li Yu Feng said.

"What Auntie is right." Hu Zi grinned.

Before officially marrying, he called her Auntie. Once he marries Chen Shan Shan, he had to change the way of addressing to Mom.

The flat that Li Yu Feng and old Madam Xu found was indeed suitable. The neighbors on the left and right have jobs. No complication at all.

The most important factor was that it was over 30 square meters. It was wonderful. Perfect for a family of three to live in.

"After getting married, I will come over and mind Shan Shan when she give birth and have her post-natal confinement. You don't have to worry about anything. Once the child is weaned, Shan Shan can continue to work with you to earn money. Aunt will watch the child for you guys." Li Yu Feng saw that her son-in-law was very satisfied with the place and merrily said.

"Thank you Auntie!" Hu Zi's eyes lit up.

If his prospective mother-in-law was willing to take action, he and Shan Shan would definitely have it a lot easier.

"No need to thank." Li Yu Feng smiled and said, "How's this place? It's not too bad."

"The price?" Hu Zi asked.

"Five thousand three hundred. Originally priced at five thousand six hundred. I looked for them and bargained it to three hundred less. Can't go any lower." Li Yu Feng told: "Do you have enough money? If it is not enough, I have some. I can lend it to you first."

She knew that her prospective son-in-law had spent a lot of money to move his household registration.

This year Hu Zi went all out. Especially this summer. He basically went out early and returned late. He sold a lot of clothes every day and just ate some buns and dumplings. So, he made a lot of money.

"I have enough. Still, it's not cheap." Hu Zi sighed.

"The price is all like this outside. What's more, it's not easy to sell. It's thanks to how well-informed Shan Shan's grandmother is. If not, it might be bought by someone else in a few days. It's been a few days since they moved." Li Yu Feng said.

At this time, the Housing Management Bureau hadn't completely closed for holiday yet. Hu Zi came over and took the money from his aunt.

Lin Qing He gave him the money. Not a penny less was returned: "Got a postal account, right? Go and deposit your postal account."

Hu Zi didn't refuse either. He first went to handle the property transfer and paid the money. Then he took out a part of the remaining money and then deposited it in.

As for the other part, it'll be used for new furniture.

While Hu Zi and Chen Shan Shan were busy with these matters, Gang Zi spoke: "Aunt, I plan to go home this year. I wonder when Sister Si Ni and Brother Guo Dong will go back? I want to go back with them."

"On the twenty-something. If you want to go back together, you can ask for a specific time. Find Guo Dong to help you get the ticket. It's not easy to buy it now. He has insider's ticket." Lin Qing He told.

Gang Zi went to find Si Ni. Zhou Si Ni and Weng Guo Dong were planning to leave on the 25th They'll stay until 7th January before coming back.

Zhou Si Ni let Weng Guo Dong know before calling her mother.

Eldest Sister-in-law spoke: "I was just going to call your fourth aunt today. Can you ask your fourth aunt if she have time to call me back."

"Something urgent happened?" Zhou Si Ni was stunned.

"It's nothing. Just wanted to chat with your fourth aunt." Eldest Sister-in-law replied.

Zhou Si looked for her fourth aunt. Hearing this, Lin Qing He felt something must had happened. If not, she wouldn't specifically ask for her. So she came to the dumpling shop and called back.

Eldest Sister-in-law was still at the village branch secretary's home and immediately picked up at the first ring.

"Eldest Sister-in-law, how's everything back at home these days?" Lin Qing He merrily said.

"My family, Third's family, and your third brother's side are all fine. There is nothing to worry about." Eldest Sister-in-law smilingly responded.

Lin Qing He pondered that something happened to second branch again?

"Qing He, Liu Ni pushed Xia Xia's wife and caused her baby to miscarry." Eldest Sister-in-law whispered.

"Huh?" Lin Qing He frowned.

Eldest Sister-in-law recounted the event.

Zhou Xia's wife, Ma Miao Miao wasn't someone friendly. At home, she was haughty. Ordering her mother-in-law around like a servant.

Zhou Liu Ni went back to her maternal home and wanted to please her sister-in-law. However, Ma Miao Miao won't accept it.

Seeing that it was useless to butter her, Zhou Liu Ni turned on her and went at her. She scolded Ma Miao Miao.

Scolding her for not being manner-less as she treated her mother-in-law as her cow and horse. Criticizing her for family teaching. As a daughter-in-law, she acted like this. She was daughter-in-law too and dared not be so wild in her husband's family!

All in all, it was ugly to listen to. Ma Miao Miao gave her a slap. Zhou Liu Ni couldn't take it lying down and pushed her.

In the end, Ma Miao Miao hadn't pay attention and fell. Like this, the baby was gone.

"Now Xia Xia's wife wants to get a divorce. Look how this matter turned out. I don't have any face either." Eldest Sister-in-law said.

Lin Qing He understood that she was worried about Zhu Si Ni bringing Weng Guo Dong back at this time and causing Weng Guo Dong to misunderstand.

"The families have separated many years ago. Although we all have the same surname Zhou, it hasn't nothing to do with the rest. Don’t worry, Eldest Sister-in-law. Guo Dong isn't muddled-headed. Your third son-in-law isn't worse than your second son-in-law." Lin Qing He assured.

Eldest Sister-in-law felt slightly relieved now and spoke, "Its great that he won't affected it. I was so anxious that I can't eat."

  5. "...it hasn't nothing to do with the rest"
"hasn't" --> "has" or is it really mean "it has something to do with the rest."?

"It's great that he wouldn't affect it."
Should it be "...it (the problem in second branch) wouldn't affect him (Guo Dong)"? Or is it really mean "GD wouldn't affect it"?

There's many lines with similar problems. I don't know whether or not I have to edited the line in my head or it really mean something that's kind of out of context (at least it sounds out of context for me/from what I comprehend from the story). I wonder if it's the reason I often saw comments in which the writer seems to read a different story. 😅🥲🤦‍♀️😅

  6. Look, I know it's a tragedy but it can be a silverlining for XiaXai. He's a nice kid but probably got attracted to the chaos he's familiar with (his mother and sister are trash so he picked trash). If this divorce happens, it can be a changing point in his life to be better and pick better.
While his wife is definitely trash, I feel bad for her and the unfortunate baby. Wouldn't wish a miscarriage on my worst enemy. But since it's happened, let’s look at whatever positive can come out of it. And the possibility of not being tied to both this wife that's bound to lead him to a future of distress, and to his mother and daughter that have already caused a lifetime of distress for him is one me should actively explore. Point being, he should separate and maybe take his father away. He should really look at his dad and decide if that's the life he wants to live because with those 3 women in his life, his father’s life is 100% the best case scenario for how his life can end up. And that's just depressing!

  7. I feel sorry for Xia Xia for having such an ignorant sister and mother. But definitely not for marrying Ma Miaomiao. He knew she had a bad temper but still chose to go ahead. I'm sure he got some benefits for dating his master's daughter.

  8. 'His uncle did mention that it almost equal to the house.'

Isn't the fine for over birth like 3 to 10 times the annual income of the family? How is it some cheap considering the number of shop they own? In some area the fine can go even higher, more so for wealthy family.
