BTTS 387

 Chapter 387. Private belonging box

"No need. It's just your fourth uncle's and my clothes. Let your fourth uncle wash them." Lin Qing He said.

"Go and chat with your fourth aunt." Zhou Qing Bai glanced at his niece and uttered.

Zhou San Ni pursed her lips, nodded, and walked in.

Lin Qing He motioned her to sit down before entering the subject: "I heard your eldest aunt and third aunt talk about your marriage."

"Fourth Aunt, you don't need to persuade me. I will marry Li Ai Guo. And will only marry him." Zhou San Ni turned her face away and stated.

This was because she thought she was going to dissuade her.

Lin Qing He smiled: "To tell the truth, I certainly didn't approve when I heard from your third aunt in the city. But when I came back and talked to your eldest aunt, I felt that this marriage isn't actually that bad."

Zhou San Ni breathed out in relief and then lowered her head.

"Fourth Aunt called you over tonight because I have a few words to say to you. Would you like to hear Fourth Aunt's words for you?" Lin Qing He asked.

"En." Zhou San Ni nodded.

"Let Fourth Aunt ask you. How many sons does Li Ai Guo's family have?" Lin Qing He said.

"There's three. He ranks third. However, his mother doesn't favor him." Zhou San Ni answered.

"Then he's the youngest? Why isn't he favored?" Lin Qing He asked.

"He said that when his mother gave birth to him, she damaged her body, so she didn't like him." Zhou San Ni retold.

"What else did he tell you?" Lin Qing He asked with a smile.

Immediately, she felt that Li Ai Guo was indeed a good guy. He could reveal the situation at home before his wife marry in.

Obviously, his feeling for Zhou San Ni was true.

Zhou San Ni recounted everything.

Li Ai Guo told her a lot. For example, he didn't live with his parents now because his two elder brothers in front of him had moved out.

Although he wasn't married at the time, he can move out by himself when the separation happened.

Currently, he had contracted the land and was working on it. He didn't lack anything else, just a wife.

It was just that he was a very young man. He would rather stay alone than marry those widows and divorced ones. Because of this, his reputation had been stigmatized by matchmakers.

They said it was his good fortune that a widow was willing to marry him, a lame man. Also he was from a small mountain village. One have to go over the mountains to go to the market. Which fresh flower would be willing to marry in?

However, Li Ai Guo didn't think of himself so badly. All in all, he felt his fate hadn't arrived yet.

Well, didn't his wife appear when fate arrived? And it was also a young woman.

Lin Qing He was pleased with what she heard. She looked at Zhou San Ni and said: "A woman has two chances of birth in her life. One is being birthed and raised by her mother and father. You have no choice. One is to marry someone. Whether you marry well or not, this is your second chance."

This was actually true.

It was very important for women to rely on themselves, but that depended what kind of person. Some strong women who can struggle. That was another matter..

But for a girl like Zhou San Ni who had never studied before, marriage was very important

Because this kind of girl, once married, it was a lifetime matter. Divorce rarely occurred.

"Fourth Aunt wants to tell you, the time in maternal family, you can drop it. Once you gets married, then nothing is more important than your own small family. You have to open your mind about everything. In this world, there is nothing too difficult to overcome."

"En." Zhou San Ni nodded.

"Also, your maternal family. Your maternal family treat you well, then it's only right to have them in your heart. If your maternal family treats you badly, give your maternal family a sum of gift money when you marry out. Consider it as clearing all feeling. No need to be concerned about the maternal family." Lin Qing He advised.

"I thought, Fourth Auntie would want me to visit home often." Zhou San Ni pursed her mouth.

Lin Qing He laughed. Looking at her and said, "I personally cut off my own maternal family. My third brother treats me well, so I still stay connected with him. Do you see me caring for the rest? We got to distinguish between kindness and grievances, right?"

Zhou San Ni didn't speak.

"After you marry, you fulfil all the duties a daughter-in-law should. If it's not your duaghter-in-law's duty, then don't do a bit. Anyway, Li Ai Guo is the youngest. You can follow the standards displayed by two older one in front. "Lin Qing He said.

"En." Zhou San Ni nodded.

"In a blink of an eye, you're going to be married." Lin Qing He looked at her and sighed lightly. Then she got up and went in to bring a watch and a wad of money out.

"Fourth Aunt." Zhou San Ni noticed and immediately stood up. She looked at her fourth aunt.

"Sit down." Lin Qing He stated.

Zhou San Ni pursed her lips before sitting down again.

"When you marry to Li Ai Guo, your fourth uncle and I will not be able to return. This watch is given to the son-in-law, Li Ai Guo from your fourth uncle. Hide it well yourself. When the times come, bring it to Li Ai Guo and tell Li Ai Guo that this is gifted by your fourth uncle in the capital." Lin Qing He instructed.

This was to warn Li Ai Guo- don't think that nobody in the family care about this niece who married far away.

"This is too expensive." Zhou San Ni shook her head rapidly.

How much did a watch cost? It was simply too dear. There was no need.

"This is not for you. It is for Li Ai Guo." Lin Qing He stated and then handed the ten tenners to Zhou San Ni: "These ten notes of tenner are the dowry Fourth Aunt giving to you, so you can put in your private belonging box. Fourth Aunt won't buy other things for you. Accept the money."

"This can't do." Zhou San Ni shook her head and got up to leave.

"San Ni, you don't want your fourth uncle and fourth aunt? Also your eldest uncle and eldest aunt as your maternal family?" Lin Qing He looked at her and said.

Zhou San Ni’s eyes slightly reddened and she responded, “No. Fourth Aunt, you, Fourth Uncle, Eldest Uncle, Eldest Aunt, Third Uncle, and Third Aunt are kind to me.”

"Listen to your fourth aunt." Zhou Qing Bai was done with the laundry. He directed at this niece.

Lin Qing He walked over, put the money and watch in Zhou San Ni’s pocket, and said, “You're getting married. Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt hope you can have a good life. Don’t think about other things you shouldn’t. It'll be a new life."

Zhou San Ni pursed her lips and responded, "Thank you, Fourth Uncle, Fourth Aunt."

"It's getting late. Go back." Lin Qing He nodded.

Zhou San Ni nodded and bowed to her fourth uncle and fourth aunt before returning.

As soon as she left, Lin Qing He turned to Zhou Qing Bai: "Such a good girl grown up to this."

She still remembered thi past. Although Zhou San Ni didn't attend school, she still came here with Da Ni, Er Ni, and others to study.

At that time, San Ni didn't have this temperament.

But even when she watched San Ni all the way, how could she. her aunt, help her?

When Second Sister-in-law became seriously petty, she would call her to do work. Even occasionally hit and scolded her. But this was normal in the village.

As the mother, Second Sister-in-law didn't beat me up and starve her. So who can interfere?

    3. May San Ni live well. Although because of different religious worldview I cant agree on cutting familial relationship, I still personally agree on distancing oneself from bad influence and creating precaution against harm. If it was the way for San Ni to protect her marriage, then it was agreeable to do so.

    6. I'm teary eyed for our girl San Ni, hope she lives the half of her life well. Go far away from that mother of hers. She got some backbone deciding her own marriage, so I really really wish she can do well.
