actually no big m in mother-in-law, because in this sentence it's not a proper noun since the possessive "her" is there.
DeleteThis is the only thing that truly irks me. I love this novel but it makes me mad when I see thoughts like "just need to raise sons while only she is in my heart". Like wtf. I know she is number one in his heart. I don't have a problem with that. But saying things like this doesn't make me think "oh wow. Look how deeply he loves her". It just makes me think what the hell kind of father are you. So just make babies just to have them? And raise them out of responsibility. Yes you have to raise them out of responsibility, but when you say stuff like that, it makes me wonder what kind of heart you have when you don't have your children in them. It's actually disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI know they joke around like that often but when it is a true thought, I get disgusted. Because then it's not a joke or funny anymore? or "cute" for that matter.
I already thought that this joke and sometimes indifferent way they thought about the kids was going overboard. But this just makes me think that they don't have their kids in their hearts at all. Only each other. This is not the first Cnovel for that matter. It's like authors have to "prove" how much the ML loves the MC by makimg it the sole focus of their attention and love and even the kids can't get a share.
If my husband said or thought something like that, I would honestly question what kind of person he is. I would not like it in the slidest. "She's number one in my heart and then the children after" I would like. But not this
