 Chapter 328. Ma Xiao Dan

The next day, he traveled back by himself.

On the day he departed, Aunt Ma's son Ma Cheng Min returned with his wife Huang Xiao Liu and their four-year-old son.

Uncle Ma and Aunt Ma were overjoyed.

Lin Qing He especially gave Aunt Ma a day off and got Zhou Kai to go to the dumpling shop to help out.

After getting off work, Lin Qing He brought a pack of candies over to visit.

After all, they were neighbors. What's more, she had a good relationship with Uncle Ma and Aunt Ma, so she should drop by for a visit.

Aunt Ma's son, Ma Cheng Min was gentle and scholarly. He had been in the countryside for more than ten years and turned from a little fresh meat into old bacon. Still, have to say, his aura was still there. He was a refined youth.

His wife Huang Xiao Liu appeared weak.  Just by looking, one can tell she was very honest . As for the child, he was more spirited.

At the age of four, he was dark as autumn. It was obvious that he had gone out to hang around outside a lot in the countryside.

When Zhou Kai and his brothers were kids before, they were also like this.

"It's good that you can come. No need to bring candy." Aunt Ma said after introducing both parties.

"For my nephew. A packet of candy isn't worth much." Lin Qing He replied with a smile.

"With my parents living here. I must thank Teacher Lin for taking care of them." Ma Cheng Min directed to Lin Qing He.

Lin Qing He smiled: "Speaking of taking care, it was Uncle Ma and Aunt Ma who helped us out. Let's not talk about that anymore. There will be more time to take care of each other in the future."

Ma Cheng Min nodded with a smile.

As for his wife, Huang Xiao Liu, she was still a little afraid of strangers. She just sat and smiled. Didn't say anything.

Lin Qing He had met them. After a bit of talk, she didn't disturb them anymore.

"Teacher Lin and Boss Zhou are really nice. They helped us both a lot. Their three children are also very tall and good children. If little Dan Dan can grow up and be like them brothers in the future, then me and your dad can go to see the ancestors with a smile." Aunt Ma remarked.

"After all this long journey, you're tired. Go to the bathhouse with your dad and take a shower and come back to rest. It's time to go to work with your dad tomorrow." Aunt Ma stated.

Uncle Ma took his son and grandson to the bathhouse, while Aunt Ma also took her daughter-in-law, Huang Xiao Liu to the bathhouse.

After washing up, Aunt Ma brought Huang Xiao Liu to the dumpling shop and said, “This is where Mom works. If something comes up at home, come here to find me. It’s easy to find the way. Just straight down this road and turns to the left. And we're at the dumpling shop."

"En." Huang Xiao Liu pursed her lips. She still carried the accent of the rural district. She probably noticed it, so her face was blushing.

Aunt Ma brought her back without paying much attention. After a while, Uncle Ma and his son and grandson got home.

After dinner, they let the family go back to the room to rest.

Early the next morning, Uncle Ma took Ma Cheng Min over and handed the job over. He had to guide his son for a few days before he could completely drop his responsibilities.

As for Aunt Ma, she had to go work at the dumpling shop. Yesterday, Lin Qing He gave her a day off because her son and daughter-in-law came back with her grandson. Naturally, she had to come to work today.

And because her son was back, Aunt Ma was very motivated.

When she went back in the afternoon, she found her grandson appearing a little bit sad.

"What's the matter?" Aunt Ma asked at once.

"Granny, I want to go out to play. My mom won't let me." Ma Xiao Dan spoke in Mandarin.

Even though he was only four years old, he was able to speak his native dialect and Mandarin. These were all taught to him by his dad.

His mother had learned with them. But he caught on at once, while his mother couldn't.

"Dan Dan!" Huang Xiao Liu pursed her lips and understood that her son was complaining.

Ma Xiao Dan pouted his mouth and lowered his head.

Aunt Ma looked at her daughter-in-law and said: "Children are like this. How can they sit still at home? If he wants to play, let him go downstairs to play. You can watch from the side."

Naturally, she knew that her daughter-in-law had arrived here for the first time and was a little unaccustomed.

"I'm afraid that Dan Dan will be bullied." Huang Xiao Liu bit her lips.

"Among children, what bullying can there be? It's settled, I will take him to the dumpling shop later." Aunt Ma declared.

Ma Xiao Dan's eyes lit up. Huang Xiao Liu became a little worried: "Will the boss agree?"

"He will." Aunt Ma knew Zhou Qing Bai and Lin Qing He's temperament, so she said to her little grandson: "We'll go to the dumpling shop, but you can't be naughty and create trouble. Understood? Otherwise, I won't take you next time."

"I understand. I won't be naughty or create trouble." Ma Xiao Dan promised immediately.

After being restrained at home for the whole day, how can he bear with it? He grew up wandering around in the countryside. 

So at four o'clock in the afternoon, he came to the dumpling shop with his granny.

When Zhou Qing Bai saw him, he cooked some dumplings for him and let him eat them.

"No need. He just didn't want to stay at home. I found out when I went back and decided to bring him here. No need to give him dumplings. He will eat later when we go back." Aunt Ma hurriedly interjected.

"A few dumplings are nothing." Zhou Qing Bai didn't mind.

Ma Xiao Dan grinned at this uncle. Seeing that his granny didn't continue to object, he picked up the bowl and ate the delicious dumplings.

He was behaved after eating. He played with three glass marbles next to his granny. He brought them with him from the countryside. His father bought it for him. He cherished them.

Zhou Gui Lai came across this sight when he came over after class. Onsight, he was amused and said, "You can't aim like this. You have to do it like this."

He gave a demonstration and hit it. He received Ma Xiao Dan's admiring look. After all, it was so far away and he could still hit the ball. It was amazing!

"It's nothing. In our village, I got the most accuracy when we used to play marbles." Zhou Gui Lai declared and then turned to Aunt Ma: "Granny Ma, is this your grandson? What's his name?"

"Yes. His nickname is Ma Xiao Dan. His proper name is Ma Yu Lin." Aunt Ma smilingly answered.

"When he grows up in the future, he will definitely be promising." Zhou Gui Lai said.

Aunt Ma's grin widened: "Just a mischievous boy. Can't stay at home for a day, so I brought him out."

"Of course he can't. There's nothing good to do at home. He should go out and play. People will be stupid after staying at home for a long time." Zhou Gui Lai talked as if he got broad knowledge, and then asked Ma Xiao Dan: "Xiao Dan, is your stomach hungry? Do you want to eat dumplings?"

"He had eaten it. He had eaten it." Aunt Ma repeatedly stated.

"I can eat one more." Ma Xiao Dan replied.

"I can give two more for you." Zhou Gui Lai became amused. He personally went over and cooked a bowl of dumplings. In the afternoon, he had a session of football in physical education. So he was starving. After he finished cooking, he grabbed a spoon to give one to Ma Xiao Dan: "I'll scoop more for you when you're done."
